So, when OPPO shipped over the upcoming F25 Pro 5G to us ahead of its launch, we knew we were in for a treat. We've spent a few days with the all-new F25 Pro 5G and here are our first impressions of OPPO's latest statement piece from its F-Series lineup.

A Sleek & Stylish Design With Colours Inspired By Nature

The OPPO F25 Pro 5G is a marvel of design which ensures that all eyes move to you whenever you pop it out of your pocket. The slender frame of the OPPO F25 Pro 5G is ultra-slim at just 7.54mm thin, making it the slimmest IP65-rated 5G phone in India, and it weighs in at a barely noticeable 117g.

The OPPO F25 Pro 5G features a matte finish on the sides while the rear features a polished look making it a brilliant contrast of finishes that show off the two nature-inspired colourways of the new F Series hero.

The one we got to experience was the stunning Lava Red version which shimmers from a darkly enchanting shade of burgundy to a lighter version of the same colour that shimmers off the Sunshine Rings of the back camera panel.

For those who prefer a different palette from the deep Burgundy of the Lava Red colourway, the F25 Pro 5G is also available in Ocean Blue, which uses OPPO's Magnetic Particle Design to create mesmerizing ripples in Azure and White. The F25 Pro's back is made from a highly durable polycarbonate material that not only looks flaunt worthy but is able to withstand the damage caused by accidental drops.

Before its arrival into the Indian market the OPPO F25 Pro 5G has been put through a rigorous testing process to ensure its durability. The F25 Pro 5G has been tested to withstand 100,000 volume key presses and 200,000 power button presses while its USB-C port has been subjected to 20,000 instances of plugging in and unplugging, to help ensure it is able to handle any situation you find yourself in.

Running everything on the OPPO F25 Pro 5G is ColorOS 14 based on Android 14. ColorOS 14 brings a host of features that not only ensure that your F25 Pro 5G runs smoothly all the time but for longer.

The segment-first AI Smart Image Matting feature allows you to extract subjects from photos and turn them into photos that can be shared immediately or sometime later (by dropping and saving the new image in the File Dock, another new feature that allows you to easily save images, text or files for quick drag-and-drop access across your apps. Once saved in the File Dock, the file can be accessed an any time and on any ColorOS 14 device.

Another new feature of ColorOS 14 is Smart Touch. This feature allows you to extract text and images from any screenshot. When told to extract content, ColorOS 14 will analyse the screenshot and extract the relevant text and images from the screenshot, which can then be saved onto File Dock.

ColorOS 14 also brings OPPO's Trinity Engine that ensures that the F25 Pro 5G remains as smooth as when you first started using it over its life cycle. This means that over the 3 years of OS and 4 years of security updates, the F25 Pro 5G will remain as smooth as it was the day you first unboxed it.
