The Find N3 Flip lets you do just that with its large 3.26-inch vertical display on the cover. That's one of the biggest differentiators among its peers, and also one that gives the Find N3 Flip an edge over the others.

The large cover display is made to replicate a traditional smartphone display by mirroring the entirety of the primary display, which helps it achieve one of the most important use cases - the ability to run a vast majority of Android apps on the vertical screen. The unique orientation of this cover screen eliminates any compatibility issues plaguing cover screens on other flip phones.

For instance, the cover screen on the OPPO Find N3 Flip now supports over 40+ essential apps, including Gmail, Outlook, Uber, Google Maps, and YouTube Music. You can reply to emails, book cabs, use turn-based navigation, and even switch music on the go. How cool is that? The apps even run natively with no extra effort.

The cover screen is large enough to show apps in a 3x4 grid, and you can customize it with up to 20 styles and quick-access widgets. What's more, it also allows you to type on a full QWERTY keyboard, but if that's too cumbersome, you can also send one-touch replies, or convert speech to text. Personally, we can't wait to get our hands on this smartphone, just for this convenience.

The cover screen sports an aspect ratio of 17:9, which is further enhanced by a super-thin bezel measuring 0.3mm. All this enables enhanced information visibility. For example, this lets you read more tweets without the tedious scrolling required on the X (formerly known as Twitter) app.

The taller cover display makes it easier to frame selfies and ensure that every detail is picture-perfect before taking the shot. And how can we forget our digital pets? On the Find N3 Flip, you can choose from eight digital pets replete with animated actions that react to users and their environment.

A Pocketable Design

The pocketability of foldable phones makes them popular with a lot of users struggling with limited pocket space. However, this isn't true for all flip phones. When folded, the OPPO Find N3 Flip measures just 85.54mm. That is half the size of a regular smartphone. As a result, it can conveniently fit into any pocket or purse. It weighs just 198g while being a mere 7.79mm slim when open.

The OPPO Find N3 Flip blends both style and functionality. The rear surface is protected with a 75-degree super-arc Corning Gorilla Glass 7, where a diamond highlight blade has been used to cut the middle frame into two sharp edges to make the bottom appear slimmer and straighter.

The inner screen measures 6.8-inch and has a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 403 ppi pixel density with TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care certification thanks to its Eye Comfort Tone technology. It does so by employing ambient light prediction to ensure user eye comfort even with prolonged use.

For the inner screen to have less of a crease, a problem that many other foldable phone makers have failed to solve, the OPPO Find N3 Flip employs a patented stainless-steel mesh matrix under the display. It works by providing structural support to the display, which results in a visible crease reduction.

There is, for the first time, an alert slider on the Find N3 Flip. This is yet another way to cut down on opening the display for the smallest things. Using this mechanical control on the left edge of the device, users can switch between three modes-Silent, Vibrate, and Ring-without opening the Find N3 Flip.

The hinge too has been made sturdier as compared to the Find N2 Flip. Where the predecessor used a single friction plate, the Find N3 Flip has been upgraded to a dual friction plate structure to improve the FlexForm stability, allowing users to keep the phone open at any angle.

That said, like the previous generation, the hinge sports a micro-carved flowing structure achieved by carving the surface up to 12,000 times for three minutes to make the metal hinge show a dazzling effect like water waves.

OPPO also uses aircraft-grade, high-strength steel at core load-bearing positions to improve durability, and reliability, and increase deformation resistance from drops by 25% when compared with the Find N2 Flip.

Triple Camera on a Flip, an Industry First

There are some obvious advantages of the flip form factor that extend beyond having a foldable display or a smaller size. The form factor also helps suspend the camera at any angle for some never-before-seen ways to capture photos. And combined with the flagship triple camera stack on the Find N3 Flip - an industry first, you get an out-and-out flagship camera setup.

In an industry-first, the Find N3 Flip incorporates three powerful cameras as part of the main camera, tuned in collaboration with legendary camera maker - Hasselblad, integrated into a circular module beside the cover screen.

The triple camera stack includes a large 50MP Sony IMX890 wide-angle primary camera, which looks great for dark environments. Also, it is the only flip phone to offer a 32MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and a portrait-perfect focal length of close to 50mm. The trifecta is completed by another 48MP ultrawide camera sporting a 114-degree field of view. The latter also doubles up as a macro camera thanks to autofocus which allows macro photos of subjects as near as 4cm.

This just proves how versatile the camera hardware is. But wait till you hear about the optimizations in place thanks to the legendary OPPO-Hasselblad partnership.

The cameras offer the legendary Hasselblad Natural Color Solution, a unique color-processing system that kicks into action the moment you press the shutter button to optimize color accuracy, tone, and contrast to deliver consistent and accurate results. The Hasselblad tech also extends to portrait shots, where the bokeh effects have been finetuned with a camera giant's inputs, so portrait photos look like they have been shot with the XCD65mm Hasselblad lens.

The partnership runs even deeper this time with the XPAN mode that uses a 65:24 high aspect ratio to capture photos in the camera brand's unique retro style. There is also a custom UI, shutter sound, and watermark to recreate the Hasselblad shooting experience. Users can further refine photographs with three additional filters-Emerald, Radiance, and Serenity-designed by professional Hasselblad ambassadors.
