Google Pixel Hardware Event: All Expected Announcements

The Google Pixel hardware event will take place tonight at 10:00 am PT or 10:30 pm IST. Following the event, the Pixel 9 series will go on sale in India from August 14. Now, let’s breakdown everything launching during today’s Pixel hardware event.

First up is the vanilla Pixel 9, which is expected to use the Tensor G4 chipset and a 120Hz OLED display. Moreover, the phone is expected to feature a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and an upgraded 48MP ultrawide lens, and a 10.5MP selfie camera.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro will also use the Tensor G4 chip and could opt for a 120Hz LTPO OLED display. The Pixel 9 Pro could also feature a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 48MP ultrawide lens, a 48MP periscope shooter, and a new 42MP selfie camera.

The new Google Pixel 9 Pro XL will be a first for the company and is expected to be a larger version of the standard Pixel 9 Pro. Apart from the display and battery size, the rest of the specs of the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be the same as the 9 Pro.

The new Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will succeed the Pixel Fold. The new foldable Pixel will use a Tensor G4 chip, two OLED displays, a 48MP triple-camera setup, and the latest software. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will also come with a host of AI features.

The Pixel Watch 3 will come in 41mm and 45mm sizes, featuring a 2,000-nit OLED display, an ultra-wideband chip, and improved battery life. Leaks suggest the Pixel Watch 3 will offer up to 24 hours of battery life with always-on display.

Lastly, Google will unveil a new version of its flagship TWS earbuds at today’s event. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 will feature improve ANC, a 650 mAh battery, and more. Rumours also suggest the case could have a built-in speaker.
