The itel A50 is a super-affordable handset that aims to fulfil basic smartphone necessities without breaking the bank. The itel A50 price in India starts from Rs 6,099 for the 3GB/64GB model and Rs 6,499 for the 4GB/64GB configuration.

The itel A50 features a unique design, with a stylish back panel. It is offered in Shimmer Gold, Misty Black, Cyan Blue, and Lime Green shades. Our model came in the Cyan Blue shade with a plastic body.

The itel A50’s a Unisoc T603 chipset delivers reliable performance for running apps and running casual games. However, we wouldn’t recommend opening more than two to three apps at once on the phone.

For the display, the itel A50 opts for a tall 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 120Hz touch sampling rate. The display gets plenty bright under direct sunlight and is good for watching videos.

The itel A50 packs a 5,000 mAh battery that can deliver a full day of use on a single charge, although the 10W charging is extremely slow, taking over three hours to fully charge the device.

itel’s entry-level smartphone also comes with a dual-rear camera setup with an 8MP primary sensor and a secondary AI lens. Up front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera. The cameras on the A50 fulfil basic functionalities and offer decent shots in daylight.

On the software side, the itel A50 runs Android 14 Go Edition out of the box with the company’s custom skin on top. The latest iteration of itelOS is generally bloat-free and offers a clean users experience.
