Poco F6 vs Poco F6 Pro

The Poco F6 series recently made its debut globally. The line-up included the Poco F6 5G and Poco F6 Pro. However, the differences between the Poco F6 and Poco F6 Pro are few and far between.

1. The Poco F6 5G uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, while the Poco F6 Pro opts for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The SD 8s Gen 3 is almost as powerful as the SD 8 Gen 2, all while offering better AI and peak sustained performance.

2. Both the Poco smartphones feature 120Hz AMOLED displays, although the F6 5G features a 1.5K resolution, while the Poco F6 Pro bumps it up to 2K. Additionally, the Poco F6 Pro also has a higher peak brightness at 4,000 nis, compared to 2,400 nits on the vanilla Poco F6.

3. While both phones feature a 5,000 mAh battery, the Poco F6 5G offers 90W charging, which his not as fast as the 120W wired fast charging on the Poco F6 Pro.

4. In terms of build quality, both phones use Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front, while the Poco F6 Pro features glass back and aluminium frame. The Poco F6, on the other hand, has a plastic back and frame.

5. For optics, both phones feature a 50 MP main camera, although the Light Fusion 800 primary sensor on the F6 Pro is larger and more advanced than the Sony LYT-600 primary sensor on the Poco F6.

6. The Poco F6 and F6 Pro both get an 8 MP ultrawide lens, while the latter also incorporates a 2 MP macro unit into the setup. The Poco F6 uses a 20 MP selfie camera as opposed to a 16 MP snapper on the F6 Pro.

7. The Poco F6 Pro’s main camera can record 8K video at 24fps or 4K video at up to 60fps, while the vanilla F6 is limited to 4K video at 60fps. The Poco F6 5G opts for an IP64 rating, although the ‘Pro’ uses a downgraded IP54 rating.

8. The Poco F6 Pro price starts from $449 for the base 12GB/256GB model, while the Poco F6 price starts from $339 for the base 8GB/256GB variant. The Poco F6 starts from Rs 29,999 in India, although the ‘Pro’ model isn’t available in the country.
