I recently got my hands on the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, which only recently made its debut in India. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro price in India is set at Rs 1,59,999, making it more expensive than the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Let’s look at why!

Design | The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro certainly looks the part, with its sleek design, measuring just 11.2mm thick when folded and 5.2mm when unfolded. There’s a new carbon fiber hinge that is touted to withstand 500,000 folds and unfolds.

Build | The back panel is reinforced with UPE fiber for exceptional impact resistance, while there’s a layer of impact-resistant film above the UTG on the inside. Additionally, Vivo’s latest foldable also features an IPX8 rating for resistance to water.

Performance | The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is the only foldable smartphone in India to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, making it the most powerful foldable in the country. Moreover, the X Fold 3 Pro also has a large over 20,000mm2 heat dissipation area.

Battery | Despite the slim form factor, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro packs a massive 5,700 mAh battery with 100W (Full charge in little over 30 minutes) wired and 50W (Full charge in little over an hour) wireless fast charging.

Display | Vivo also offers the best in display-tech with two 8T LTPO OLED screens with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. Moreover, the displays support an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and can achieve a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.

Cameras | We couldn’t test out the cameras, but shots were detailed with accurate colors. The setup includes a 50 MP OV50H primary sensor with OIS, a 64 MP OV64B periscope lens with OIS and 3x zoom, and a 50 MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens.

Cameras| The setup is co-developed with ZEISS with T* lens coating to help prevent lens flare and reflections. It features two 32 MP cameras on the internal and cover displays and a dedicated V3 imaging chip for 4K Cinematic Portrait Video.

Our Thoughts | There’s no doubt the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro comes at an exorbitant price. But in terms of hardware alone, it is inarguably the best foldable smartphone in India, so far, outmaneuvering both the OnePlus Open and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
