Google Plus Posts Its First Ever Tweet: Report
After nearly four years of setting up its Twitter account, Google Plus, Google's very own social networking platform has sent out its first ever tweet.
The Google Plus Twitter account that goes with the handle @GooglePlus was set up in July 2011, but only tweeted on May 1, 2015.

It is a little surprising for the tweet to arrive at this time when Google had announced in March that it would dismantle the social network into two separate products- streams and photos, a Mashable report notes.
Hello Twitterverse! Can we get some love for our #firstTweet?
— GooglePlus (@GooglePlus) May 1, 2015
But, this news might not be so effectual for others as for those handful of Google Plus followers, the latest, or should we say, the only tweet coming from the network hints to Google's attempt at bringing to notice the service's existence to others and aim at gaining some #love.

Since its launch in June 2011, Google Plus has failed to garner popularity with its 111 million users as of April, 2015, as compared to Facebook that boasts of more than a billion-strong user base and Twitter with its 302 million users.
