WhatsApp to roll out a feature you have been waiting for
WhatsApp has something new in store.
WhatsApp has announced a new beta update, and it seems a new feature will soon be seen in the app. The update pushed through Google Play Beta Program shows a feature which allows users to access GIFs by categorizing them. WABetaInfo reports that the new feature will be further optimized and will be available soon on the official app soon.
Currently, there are only a few categories for the GIFs, but the app is soon expected to see more categories once the update is rolled out for all the developers. The report also states that with the new update users will be able to bookmark GIFs and save them for quick access.
The report further suggests that developers who have updated to version 2.18.93 might not get the feature immediately because the feature has been disabled as of now. There aren't any big upgrades in this update apart from the GIF search feature.
Earlier, the company rolled out few other features including group description, along with an interesting feature which allows a user to switch between voice and video calling. The other set of features include the ability to search for group members directly from the Group info screen.
It is being further reported that the new set of features were made available for various beta versions of the app in the past few weeks. Further, the updated version of WhatsApp for Android now comes with a search bar on the group info screen along with the ability to toggle between voice and video calls. To toggle between the voice and video call a user just needs to tap on a tab that will appear during the calls and will allow the users to switch easily between the voice and video option.
According to another report, WhatsApp Pay will let you make up to 20 UPI payments per day. This means that you can send 20 payments to either the same VPA (Virtual Payment Address) or different VPAs in a day. Also, the maximum amount, which can be transferred in one day is Rs. 1,00,000 and this limit has been set by the government.
