Android 4.1.2: Samsung Galaxy Note 800 Gets the Update
The South Korean mobile maker, Samsung, had started rolling out Android 4.1.2 update to its Galaxy Note 800 users. The update is being rolled out by the company for Indian users and is 147 MB large. The update is available for users via kies and also made available for over-the-air-download.
The new update brings several new features like a multi-window support for Gmail and Chrome, better automatic word prediction in default keyboard among other features. Users are now reporting removal of S-Pen from the settings panel with the new update. It is also seen that no S-pen shortcuts appear on the settings panel.
The Galaxy Note 800 also known as Note 10.1 was one of the popular devices from the South Korean manufacturer. The company had rolled out an update of Android 4.1.1 for Note 10.1 only a month ago for its Indian users. The Android OS report says that there is no change-log available at the moment. The update is being done in a phased manner and users who did not receive a notification of the update on their phones need not worry as they will receive it sometime soon. Users also have the option to check for the update manually.
