Dell Brings Android And Windows 8.1 Tablet Range Under the New Venue Series
The ever growing tablet market has yet again been showered with four more new tablets from a popular XPS laptop maker, Dell. Not only that but the manufacturer has also announced three new laptops in the XPS line up.
To talk about the new tablets from the PC manufacturer, the Venue 7 and the Venue 8 are made to fit the budget of the consumers and thus they are quite affordable compared to the other two, the Venue 8 Pro and the Venue 11 Pro. The Venue 7 and 8 both run on Android Jelly Bean v4.2.2 and is powered by 2GHz Intel Clover Trail dual-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. When it comes to display, it is obvious that the Venue 7 comes with 7 inch display and the Venue 8 comes with 8 inch.
However, the resolution of both the tablets is rated at 1280 x 800 pixels and they both also share a similar internal storage capacity of 16GB. Moreover, Venue 7 and Venue 8 will also be getting Android 4.3 and 4.4 updates in the future as well. There is a presence of rear and front cameras on the tablet but the details on them are not disclosed at the moment. The Venue 8 will be a direct competition to the popular iPad mini from Apple which comes with 8 inch display. While the Venue 7 should be a tough competition to most of the tablets like Asus FonePad, Samsung Tab 3 (7 inch model), Nexus 7 (older variant) among others.
However, as of not the company has only announced the tablets and Dell is said to start selling the Venue 7 and Venue 8 on October 18 in the US and "select countries around the world." The Venue 7 has been priced at $149 (approx. Rs. 9,305) (Wi-Fi-only version), while the Venue 8 is a tad more expensive: $179.99 (approx. Rs. 11,240) (Wi-Fi-only version).
While the other two tablets which forms a Pro line of Venue tablets from Dell, comes with a flavor of Windows 8.1 OS. The Venue 8 Pro and Dell Venue 11 Pro (also powered by Intel processors). The Venue 8 Pro comes with an 8 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution while the Venue 11 Pro comes with 11 inch display featuring a Full HD (1920 x 1080) display. Dell Venue 8 Pro and Dell Venue 11 Pro feature the new Intel Atom quad-core processors, code named "Bay Trail." The Venue 11 Pro offers up to 4th Generation Intel Core i3 and i5 processor options and Intel vPro for manageability. These tablets could be a competition for Nokia's upcoming windows tablet later this month and the Microsoft's Surface as well.
Like the Android tablets, the Venue 8 Pro and Venue 11 Pro will be out on October 18 at the price of $299.99 (approx. Rs. 18,734) and $499.99 (approx. Rs. 31,224) respectively.

Dell Venue 7
The Dell Venue 7 and Dell Venue 8 feature Intel Atom Z2760 ("Clover Trail") processors.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro and Dell Venue 11 Pro Windows 8.1-based tablets combine the level of performance, design and responsiveness end-users love while giving IT departments what they need - the ability to integrate into an existing corporate environment with full compatibility with current Windows applications and Microsoft Office integration. Both tablets feature optional advanced security features and services such as TPM and Dell Enterprise Services.
Dell Venue 8 Pro
The lightweight Dell Venue 8 Pro runs Windows 8.1, has a bright HD IPS display, advanced connectivity options and provides long battery life so range anxiety is no longer an issue. People can also stay productive with Office 2013 Home & Student, included with the device, and the optional Dell Active Stylus.
Dell Venue 11 Pro
The Dell Venue 11 Pro, also based on Windows 8.1, provides ultimate 2-in-1 flexibility with the power of an Ultrabook, convenience of a detachable keyboard and experience of a desktop. Unlike competitive tablets, it has a user removable/replaceable battery, and its large, Full HD display with wide viewing angles makes it easy to read and create content while staying mobile. It is also available with a variety of keyboard and stylus options:
