To be very honest, while all of us are currently waiting to see the next Google Nexus tablet, we still don't have any solid idea about its expected features, specifications and release dates. But we are still hopeful of seeing the device sooner rather than later, maybe this July.
There's already been a great deal of anticipation over the next Google Nexus tablet. There has also been a growing speculation about an 8-inch Nexus 8, with more and more rumors flowing in for the same almost everyday.
But what do we really know about the device? What kind of specifications will it carry on release? Which version of Android will it run? And more importantly, when can we expect the tablet to be released officially?

Google Nexus 8: Display
While rumors are flowing in, in abundance, it seems like the blogosphere is somewhat divided on the device's display. while some feel that the device will arrive with an 16:10 8-inch screen, other think that it will offer a with an 16:10 8.9-inch screen.
Previously, Rhoda Alexander from research firm IHS Technology told CNET that the new Nexus 8 will offer a high-resolution 8.9-inch screen that will look to match the 2560x1600 pixels on the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
Google Nexus 8: Processor
The other major thing that's plaguing everyone's mind is what kind of a processor we might get to see with the Nexus 8. Again, the community is divided on this one.
One group says that it will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, just like the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and both Nexus 7s, with Snapdragon 800 or 600 being the SoC of choice. Others, however, think that the device could come sporting an Intel Atom processor.
Google Nexus 8: Operating System
This one could become true as the next Nexus tablet is easily expected to come bearing the next version of Android operating system. Certainly we don't know whether the next Android will be version 4.5 or version 5, but what we do know is that it will surely come with a new version of Android.
Google Nexus 8: Camera
Rumors have claimed that the Nexus 8 could come with a 5MP camera in the back, alongside a 1.3MP front-facing camera. But still a lot needs to clarified in this department.
Google Nexus 8: Release Date
If traditions are to be followed, Google could release the next Nexus 8 this July. That of course comes from the fact that Google tends to release its 7-inch tablets in July. Apart from that, other rumors have also claimed that the Nexus 8 will be released in July 2014, shortly after Google IO.
Google's annual event primarily focuses on software rather than hardware, so don't expect anything at the event. Then again, everything still has to be taken with a pinch of salt.
