HTC Tipped To Release a Budget Tablet in Q2 2015
The Nexus 9 is already a strong contender to the iPad Air 2, and it looks like a new HTC-branded tablet is coming soon. Pocketnow (via Upleaks) recently reported that HTC will introduce its own branded tablet in the coming weeks.

HTC, the company behind the Nexus 9, is once again rumoured to be returning into the mainstream tablet market after a long period of time. Now, a new tablet called "HTC H7" is currently planned for a Q2 release. If the report comes true, then there are full chances to see the tablet introduced by the end of next month.

The report further claims that the HTC H7 will be an entry-level tablet. But doesn't offer anything beyond that in terms of specifications or pricing for that matter. In the meanwhile, some media reports suggest that the said tablet could come with a 7-inch screen, meaning it will directly rival the iPad Mini 4 - Apple's next-generation tablet due this fall.
HTC has made a name for itself in the premium smartphone market, but the same can't be said about tablets. Apple's iPad has reigned supreme since its launch in 2010 and Samsung has already captured the mid-end market. It will be interesting to see how HTC will promote its upcoming budget tablet amongst a wider section of consumers.
There's no telling exactly what to expect until HTC makes an official announcement. We'll update the article whenever we hear worthwhile new information related to HTC's foray into the consumer tablet market.
