Competition

Recently, voice calling tablets, which means tablets with SIM card support are gaining more and more popularity as they have the ability to replace the smartphones. With this in mind, several budget tech manufacturers are launching such devices in the price conscious Indian market. Some of them have gone a step further by launching dual SIM tablets.

Lately, Swipe Telecom launched a dual SIM Android tablet called Legend Tab at Rs 10,999. Talking about specs, the dual SIM tablet boasts a 7 inch TFT LCD 5 point multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, dual core 1.5GHz processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 2MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera for video calling purposes, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable memory, Bluetooth, 3G, Wi-Fi and a 3,600 mAh battery.

With a relatively lower price tag, better processor and improved front camera performance, the Swipe offering could be a rival to Mercury mTab StreaQ. However, the latter has increased internal storage option.
