Nokia Windows 8 Tablet Might Come With Exclusive Apps Including Adidas Micoach
For over a year, the tech world is speculating that Nokia is working on a Windows 8 tablet. Though Nokia has constantly denied it, the developers working on the device seem to have leaked some information revealing the Finnish giant's foray into the tablet market.
In a recent development, Twitter user @evleaks has tweeted a link in which a Nokia developer, who has consistently been leaking details over the months regarding such a device has written on his personal blog that he worked on the design for a Windows 8 app, which is exclusive for Nokia Tablet.
For many, it would not be surprising to read the world exclusive, as Lumia smartphones come with a bunch of such exclusive applications that are meant only for them. This way, it is quite common for Nokia to use a similar strategy for its forthcoming rumored tablet as well.
The blog post written by the developer states, "Helped design and concept the Adidas micoach app proposal for the Nokia Tablet. The Tablet App intended to be an extension of coaches allowing them to build teams and monitor individual trainings for each athlete. The way that works is to connect he app to existing technology on Adidas products to read the workout data registered by cell chip implants. The app also tapped into the community allowing users to challenge each other by sending notifications to friends and their social feeds."
Since long, Nokia is rumored to be working on a tablet running Microsoft's Windows RT platform and the device has been rumored to be uncovered at the MWC tech show in Barcelona this year, however, it did not turn to be fruitful.
Anyways, the confirmation from Nokia VP about the Nokia Tablet is a worthy information confirming its existence.
As per earlier rumors, Nokia will be launching a 10.1 inch Windows RT tablet with cellular connectivity options including HDMI and USB ports, dual core Qualcomm processor, detachable keyboard and a battery with 10 hours of backup.
