Polaroid Launches 7 Inch Kids Tablet 2 Featuring Android Jelly Bean OS
Polaroid has recently introduced a new Android tablet for children in the United States. The tablet comes dubbed as the Kids Tablet 2 and is priced at $149 (approx. Rs. 9,308).
However, in India, other tablets for kids have already been launched like HCL ME Champ, Swipe Junior and LeapPad 2. These devices are already selling in the Indian market.
Going by the specs of this latest tablet, the Kids Tablet 2 from Polaroid comes with a 7-inch display offering a resolution of 1024x600pixels.
When it comes to power, the handset comes packed with 1.6GHz dual-core cortex-A9 processor and is also supported by 1GB of RAM. The device runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.2
Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 also features front camera, rear camera, and Wi-Fi support.
"Polaroid is bringing our 75 year tradition of instant sharing, fun and ease of use to a younger demographic with our Kids Tablet 2," said Polaroid President and CEO Scott Hardy. "Children will now have the opportunity to experience an award winning device similar in specs to their parents' tablets, but designed specifically to their needs and pre-loaded with content they want from our new partners, Disney, Marvel and Cartoon Network."
The Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 comes with over 70 popular books and apps. The tablet is also equipped with side and rear bumpers to help protect it from accidental bumps. Moreover, you can also find a presence of a built-in parental controls and a safe web browser that are quick and easy to setup.
The company has not been selling any of their products in the Indian market as of now. Thus, there are hardly any chances of this tablet as well to get launched in India.
