Wammy Desire Tab 2: Wickedleak 7 inch Quad Core Tab Launched to Rival Android 4.2 Tablet Market
Wickedleak seems to be all geared up to take on the competition beyond the online shopping world and come out as a touch rival against other desi brands in the market including Micromax, Karbonn and Lava. It was only last week, when GizBot broke the first report saying that Lava is prepping to launch India's first Android 4.2 Jelly Bean tablet in first week of May.
Well, now it can be said that the Mumbai based tech vendor has snatched this title from the Lava guys. While, Lava was all gearing up to launch their 7inch Android 4.2 Jelly Bean tablet in the market, today itself, WickedLeak announced the successor to the much acclaimed Wammy Desire tablet - the Wammy Desire Tab 2 at a price of Rs 9,999.
What is the specialty about the new tab 7-inch HD tablet? Well, the 7-inch tablet will come running on Android 4.0/Android 4.2(Beta). Which means, users will have an option to choose whether their Wammy Desire 2 will run on Android 4.0 or Android 4.2 (beta) out of the box. But the company has priorly informed that the beta version of Android 4.2 may have some bugs initially and a stable version of Android 4.2 will be released by June 2013.

The 7-inch screen will boast 1280x800 IPS HD resolution at a 210ppi alongside 8GB of storage option, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, a 0.3 MP front camera, 2MP Rear Camera, Wi-Fi , 3G(external), Bluetooth, USB, GPS and 3,300 mAH battery.
Commenting on the launch, Wickedleak's spokeperson said,"We believe that technology is constantly evolving for the better and Wickedleak aims at providing it's Indian customers with the latest and best, high end Android technology along with a spectrum for choice, based on the consumer's preferences.
