Samsung Galaxy View tablet goes official, sports 18.4-inch display and weighs 2.65kg
After much speculations Samsung has finally unveiled their gigantic 18.4 inch tablet. Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy View, the tablet weighs more than the average laptop at 2.65kg (standard laptops weigh around 2.4kg)
Initial words regarding the Samsung Galaxy View dates back to the MWC, 2015 where the Korean electronics giant first unveiled their plans of introducing a humongous tablet. Measuring at 275.8 x 451.8 x 11.9 mm the Samsung Galaxy View Tablet comes with Full HD (1080p) 18.4 inch LCD TFT panel, resulting into a pixel density of 234ppi. The tablet comes with a Rubber Feet at the bottom to keep it from sliding about. There is also a 2 way stand to adjust the position of the tablet on a flat surface.

Beside that there is a 2GB RAM along with 32/64GB internal storage variants. Further Samsung has included a modestly large 5700mAh battery to power this beast of a tablet. Apparently the company claims that that the battery can last through 8 hours of continuous video playback.
To enhance the music listening experience Samsung has also included a dual 4W stereo speaker setup in the tablet. The Galaxy View tab also comes with a 2.1MP camera on the top of the display for video calls. Other than that there are the common set of connectivity features including a Bluetooth 4.1 BLE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac. "We are very excited to introduce the new Galaxy View, providing an entirely new way of consuming mobile video and entertainment."
