ASUS Re-Enters India's Tablet Market With ASUS Pad: 2.8K OLED Display & MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC Confirmed

ASUS has confirmed the arrival of its new premium tablet, the ASUS Pad (T3201), in India. The upcoming tablet packs a high-refresh-rate OLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, a large battery with fast charging support, quad speakers, Android 16, and stylus compatibility, positioning it as a productivity and entertainment-focused device.

ASUS Pad (T3201) Launch Date in India

The ASUS Pad (T3201) will launch in India on August 6. Following its debut, the tablet will be available for purchase via Flipkart, the official ASUS eShop, Reliance Digital, and ROG Store outlets. ASUS has yet to reveal the tablet's official pricing, which is expected to be announced closer to launch. We expect the ASUS Pad price in India to start from anywhere between Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000.

ASUS Pad (T3201) Specifications

The ASUS Pad (T3201) is equipped with a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED display offering a 2.8K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The panel supports up to 2,000 nits peak brightness and comes with eye-care certifications for improved viewing comfort.

Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Storage can be further expanded by up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

The tablet packs a 9,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, with ASUS claiming it can charge from 0 to 50 percent in around 30 minutes using the bundled charger.

Running Android 16 out of the box, the ASUS Pad supports Google's Circle to Search feature and ASUS' GlideX software for seamless file sharing and cross-device collaboration. It is also compatible with the ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus and Bluetooth keyboards for enhanced productivity.

For optics, the tablet features a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calls and online meetings. Audio duties are handled by a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support, promising an immersive multimedia experience.
