Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Could Arrive Alongside Next-Gen Flip Phones; Launch Tipped for July 2026
Samsung is gearing up to launch the successor to the Galaxy Watch Ultra, dubbed the Watch Ultra 2. While there is no official word regarding the upcoming Galaxy Watch, a new report by GalaxyClub.nl reveals its launch timeline along with a few more details. Let's dive in!
Galaxy Watch Ultra 2: What to Expect?
According to the recent report, Samsung is developing the next-gen Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, which is expected to launch in summer 2026 alongside the Galaxy Watch 9. The report claims that the upcoming Ultra 2 will share the same hardware platform as the Watch 9, just as the first Watch Ultra was built on the Watch 7.

Internally, the new model is referred to as the "Watch 9 Ultra," though this is unlikely to be its final retail name. Since the original Ultra was also internally labeled "Watch 7 Ultra," it's said the upcoming model will also come with the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 moniker.
The report further states the new watches from Samsung will debut around July 2026, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 smartphones. Since there is no official word regarding the same, we'd suggest our readers take this with a pinch of salt and stay tuned.
To recall, the Galaxy Watch Ultra was launched back in July 2024 alongside the Watch 7. The Watch Ultra has a Titanium-grade frame and Sapphire Glass. It is powered by the same 3nm Exynos W1000 processor and dual-frequency GPS system as the Galaxy Watch 7. Given that, we expect the Watch Ultra 2 will have the same hardware as the Galaxy Watch 9.
