Airtel Introduces ₹48 Prepaid Plan With JioHotstar Access: Here’s What You Get
Bharti Airtel has introduced a new ₹48 prepaid add-on plan for users in India. This isn’t a regular recharge in terms of calling or validity. Instead, it’s a small data voucher that also includes access to an OTT platform.

The plan is currently available in multiple circles and appears to be rolling out widely.
What You Get With The Plan
With this ₹48 recharge, users get 1GB of 4G data. Alongside that, Airtel is bundling a one-month subscription to JioHotstar Mobile.
Since this is an add-on, it won’t extend the validity of your base plan. You’ll need an active prepaid plan to use it. The OTT benefit is also limited to one month from the time of recharge.
Timed Around IPL 2026
The plan arrives at a time when IPL 2026 is already underway. That context matters here.
The 1GB data doesn’t stand out on its own, but the bundled JioHotstar access makes this more relevant right now. For users who just want a quick way to stream matches without going for a higher-priced plan, this works as a simple option.
Not The Only OTT Bundle
Airtel already offers other prepaid plans with JioHotstar access, including ₹195, ₹279, and ₹361 options.
Among these, the ₹279 plan also includes Netflix and ZEE5, along with a one-month validity, making it a more bundled offering compared to this entry-level voucher.
