Reliance Jio Begins Testing Carrier Aggregation; Might Launch LTE-A in Near Future!
After disrupting the entire market with its free welcome offer, Jio is now testing the carrier aggregation and might soon launch the LTE-A network as well to counterattack rivals as well.
Reliance Jio, which is currently India's largest holder of liberalized spectrum in the telecom sector has already started testing the carrier aggregation of band 3 (1800 MHz) spectrum with the band 5 spectrum (850 MHz) in some areas of the country.
The new entrant's aim is to achieve 100 million customers by the end of this year and for that the company has already started working on the LTE-A network to counterattack its rivals who are rapidly moving in the 4G area network. In a recently concluded auction, the company has won an additional set of 10 MHz in the auction.

To say in brief, the LTE-A network is the next version of LTE and the company is already testing it because of the fact that Indian telecoms are quickly reaching the new entrant. However, if Reliance Jio launches the LTE-A network in at least next three months, then it will be way ahead of the competition. According to Telecomtalk.info, Jio will firstly roll out the LTE-A service to cities which are facing slow data speeds and later on will expand to other areas as well. Going by the stats, the LTE-A network can be able to deliver speeds up to 175MBPS, which are insane.
