Jio’s New Rs 200 Recharge Packs YouTube Premium, OTT Apps, and 30GB Data: Check Complete Benefits

Jio has refreshed its old Mega Content add-on and turned it into a full-blown OTT recharge pack.

The new Rs 200 OTT Pass now bundles 15 streaming apps, 30GB data, unlimited 5G access, and live TV channels into a single prepaid recharge. The plan is already live across Jio’s recharge platforms starting May 27.

And honestly, the biggest thing here isn’t even the data. It’s YouTube Premium.

YouTube Premium Changes the Value Equation

Most bundled OTT packs usually throw in apps people barely open after the first week. This one’s slightly different because YouTube Premium is part of the package.

That means no ads, background playback, and offline downloads. For a lot of users, YouTube is probably used more than Netflix or Prime Video anyway.

The recharge also includes Prime Video Mobile Edition and JioHotstar Mobile + Hollywood access, alongside platforms like SonyLiv, ZEE5, Discovery+, FanCode, Hoichoi, Sun NXT, and Lionsgate Play.

There are a few regional platforms too, including Chaupal, Planet Marathi, Tarang Plus, and Kanccha Lannka.

It’s Basically Built for Phone Users

One thing that stands out is how mobile-focused this entire pack feels.

Prime Video here is the mobile edition, JioHotstar access is mobile-first, and the whole thing feels designed around people who mostly watch content on phones during commutes, breaks, or before sleeping.

Jio also says users will get access to more than 1,000 live TV channels through JioTV. That includes entertainment, sports, movies, regional channels, and infotainment content from broadcasters like Sony, Star, Sun TV, and Warner Bros. Discovery.

So this isn’t just OTT. It’s trying to combine streaming apps and traditional TV into the same recharge.

The Data Side Is Pretty Simple

The recharge includes 30GB of high-speed data with a validity of 28 days.

Users with compatible devices and network availability also get unlimited 5G access alongside their existing active base plan.

At around Rs 7 a day, Jio seems to be betting that people would rather pay once for everything instead of managing separate OTT subscriptions every month.

That said, whether someone actually uses all 15 platforms is questionable. Most people usually stick to two or three apps regularly. But bundling YouTube Premium into the mix definitely makes the pack easier to notice.
