Airtel Reintroduces Affordable Rs. 20 And Rs. 50 Talk Time Plans With Major Changes
From December 1 Airtel implemented the increased prices on all prepaid plans and they are effective now. Currently, there are no new plans introduced by the company, and the recharges are very limited. However, reports suggest that the company will soon come with new prepaid plans with better benefits. As we all know Airtel and Reliance Jio are charging for voice calls to other networks as per TRAI guidelines.
Meanwhile, Airtel has retained its old Rs. 20 and Rs. 50 affordable talk time plans which were popular when calls were one paise per second. However, this time both the plans are not shipping with full-talk time benefits.
Existing telecom companies like Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea are following Reliance Jio and they have also changed their voice call charges to another network at six paise per minute. Meanwhile, the telcos have also limited the FUP of their prepaid plans. Airtel is offering non-Airtel FUP calling limit of only 12,000 minutes for its year-long plans of Rs. 2,398.
Meanwhile, users who are opting for a monthly recharge of Rs. 148, Rs. 248, Rs. 298, and Rs. 398 will receive 1,000 minutes of non-Airtel calling facility after which the subscribers will be charged accordingly. In case your FUP gets exhausted then you have the option of using the Rs. 20 or Rs. 50 talk time plan which will give you balance to make calls.
Currently, Airtel has a total number of seven talk time plans which starts from Rs. 10, Rs, 20, Rs. 50, Rs. 100, Rs. 500, Rs. 1,000 and ends on Rs. 5,000. However, the disappointing part of these talk time plans is, none of these offer full talk time. Meanwhile, also do note that the talk time plans will not come with any service validity. Users have to make an additional recharge of Rs. 23, Rs. 49, or Rs 79.
Airtel has removed a lot of popular plans like Rs. 299 prepaid plan which offered 2.5GB data per day, unlimited local and national calls, 100 SMS per day, Amazon Prime subscription. With the removal of major plans, the telco has disappointed a lot of users.
