In addition, Airtel has revealed that it has already deployed L2100 technology to provide a high-speed network in both circles. "Airtel has re-farmed its spectrum in the 2100 Mhz band to further strengthen its 4G network in both the circles.

The company says that re-farming will help to boost the 4G network and it will help in covering areas inside buildings, homes, offices, malls and outdoors, especially during intracity/ intercity transit for 4G smartphone customers," the company said in a statement.

Airtel has also requested all its customers in Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai) and Goa, to upgrade their SIM to 4G. Furthermore, in Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai) and Goa, Airtel is offering four spectrum bands such as- 2300 Mhz (TD LTE), 2100 Mhz (LTE 2100), and 1800 Mhz (FD LTE).

"The smartphone ecosystem in India is currently going through a phase where adoption of 4G only devices is overwhelming and we are completely aligned with the changing environment and convenience of our customers," Rohit Marwha, CEO- Maharashtra, and Goa, Bharti Airtel said.

Meanwhile, the company has launched a new postpaid plan in Jammu & Kashmir. The Rs. 199 plan offers 25GB data in a month. It includes unlimited calling (local and STD) and 100SMS per day. Also, users will get benefits like Wynk Music. Airtel has specially launched this plan for one circle. So, hopefully, the company is likely to expand this plan in other circles in the country. On the other hand, Airtel has revised 11 plans. The new plans are priced at Rs. 19 and go up to Rs. 2,199 plan.
