Xiaomi Mi Band 2 to be Launched with Mi Max in India Tomorrow: 7 Features You Should Know
Xiaomi announced the Mi Band 2 earlier this month, but this second-generation wearable from the Chinese manufacturer is yet to make its way into India.
Tomorrow, Xiaomi is holding an event in New Delhi at 11:30 AM to launch the Xiaomi Mi Max in the Indian market and it will also launch the MIUI 8 along with the phablet. In the meantime, Hugo Barra, the VP of Xiaomi posted a tweet.

This tweet reveals the live streaming link for the event and a photo of a jumbo ice cream with MAX on it. On close observation, he is seen wearing the Mi Band 2 tipping that the fitness band could also be launched in India. It is expected to be priced around Rs 1,500.

Xiaomi Mi Band 2 #1
For the first time, Xiaomi Mi Band 2 features a screen to display smartwatch style notifications. It is a 0.42-inch OLED display This screen is protected by a scratch resistant glass and there is an anti-fingerprint layer for added protection.

There is a physical button below the display. This button will take you through three different screens that will display heart rate, steps walked, and time.

The Mi Band 2 is rated with the IP67 certification for both dust resistance and water resistance. So, you can wear the smartwatch even when you are in the shower or washing the dishes.

The silicone strap is made of a breathable and anti-sweat material and it comes in different color options such as orange, green, blue and black.

The Mi Band 2 can track the sleeping pattern by letting you know the same. There is an optical heart rate monitor that is claimed to provide better accuracy and a pedometer algorithm with ultra low power accelerometers for better step tracking.

A built-in vibration motor is included in the device that will give inactivity alerts. It will buzz when you have been sitting too long at your desk.

The Mi Fit app has been improved with a new user interface and better ways to drill into the data.
