IFA 2015: Samsung Gear S2 with Nano SIM slot expected to debut on September 3

The smart watch is scheduled to launch on the 3rd of September - a day before the IFA Berlin kick starts. So far it's known that the Gear S2 is said to feature a round display with a metallic build and a rotating bezel. But a new leaks claims something even better.

The report claims that the Samsung have included a Nano SIM slot inside the smartwatch. This will enable the device to function as a standalone device. Most other smartwatches available in the market lacks a slim slot. With the SIM card in place the watch can receive and end call directly. Plus one can browse the web too. And all these without pairing with your smartphone.

The report which comes out of Italy further adds that the device will feature Wi-Fi connectivity. But this was kind of expected. Do note that the Samsung Gear S also came with a SIM card slot and Wi-Fi connectivity. The smartwatch is expected to run

the Tizen OS and will be priced at around $462 USD.
