Samsung, Gear S2, Gear S2 Classic smartwatches launched in India starting Rs. 24,300

Samsung announced the launch of its Gear S2, a sleek and smart wearable that allows users to personalise their lifestyle and mobile experience.Samsung Gear S2 sports a circular design with an intuitive, customised UI, built-in apps among other features.

The Gear S2 comes in two variants - The Gear S2 and the Gear S2 Classic that appeals to two different customers. The Gear S2 classic is for those who prefer a timeless design with an elegant Black finish with genuine leather band. The Gear S2 on the other hand is those who are on-the-go and admire a minimal and modern design. The Gear S2 can be customised with a growing list of dial faces and open strap accessories.

The Gear S2 with a versatile design comes with a durable stainless steel body that is 11.4 mm slim. The circular dial comes with a ceramic coated gorilla glass. The customizable dial also comes with a built-in and downloadable app store. The Gear S2 can be paired with any standard 20mm watch strap in addition to watch straps provided by Samsung. The Gear S2 can be a perfect wardrobe complement. The Gear S2 comes with an Ultra Power Saving mode so users can extend battery life.The Samsung Gear S2 is light and compact. While the Samsung Gear S2 weighs 47 grams, the Samsung Gear S2 classic weighs 42 grams.

It has a 1.0Ghz Dual Core processor.The Gear S2 has a 4GB of internal memory with 512MB of RAM.The Smartwatches are based on Samsung's Tizen OS. It has support for MP3, M4A, AAC and OGG audio formats. It also has communication features like notifications, Email, Contacts, Emoticons and a Keypad.It also includes information about maps and navigation.

It comes inbuilt with fitness apps like S Health and Nike+ Running. The GearS2 is IP68 certified for being resistant to Dust and Water. It can also be paired with Wi-fi, Bluetooth, NFC. The Gear S2 is powered by a 250mAh Li-ion battery that can last for 2-3 days of usage. It also supports Wireless charging.

The Samsung Gear S2 will be available in Dark Grey and Silver Case with a sporty band. Samsung Classic will be available in Black Case with a Leather band. A variety of bands can be paired with both the Gear S2 and the Gear S2 Classic. A combination of colored bands for the Samsung Gear S2 include Mendini, Warm Grey and Red while a combination of bands for the Gear S2 Classic include Grey and Brown leather straps.
