Samsung was expected to launch the much rumored 'Gear S2' smartwatch at the IFA this year, but apparently the smartwatch was unveiled just a day before the biggest technology event.
With the IFA 2015 starting from September 2nd and it was believed that Samsung would announce the new smartwatch in the event.
Samsung schedules a high-profile press conference on September 3rd on 11 am local time (6:30 pm IST) during the IFA 2015, Berlin.
The new smartwatch brings in new features including increased battery backup and sports a rounded dial just like the Moto 360. In terms of specifications the Samsung Gear S2 features 1GHz dual-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory along with a 1.2 inch fully circular Super AMOLED display (360x360).
Surrounding the display is a round bezel which doubles up a navigation button across various menus. Samsung claims that this new rotatable bezel make the watch more intuitive and fun to use than the other ones available in the market. Further the watch features a IP68 waterproof, dust proof protection.
