The Mivi collar is a lightweight Bluetooth headset crafted from good quality plastic. The weight is hardly noticeable even when worn for long hours, which is indeed the best thing about this neckbandI used the device for daily commuting and could hardly feel its weight.

Features and specifications

The Mivi Collar comes with Bluetooth version 4.1 which has a connectivity range of up to 30 feet. There were no connectivity issues faced during my test period, and I was able to connect the neckband with a number of devices. The fact that you can connect the Mivi neckband with more than one device at a time is rather useful and comes handy if you are travelling with a partner. However you need to unpair the first device that is connected before adding the second device in the list. Post that, you can use the earphones with more than one device at the same time.

In the technical department, the Mivi collar neckband has 16 ohms impedance and has a frequency range of 20Hz-20 KHz, which makes the earphones deliver loud audio. The earphones have 104 db+/-3 sensitivity and weigh just 30 gms making it portable and easy to wear for long durations.

Performance: Loud and Clear audio

Performance: Loud and Clear audio

I tested the Mivi for quite some time and liked the overall balanced performance. In the initial stage, the headphones produced loud sound delivery, but lacked in the bass output. However, after a week of regular usage, the earphones produced punchy bass post the burn-in process.

I played a wide genre of music and I would say that the earphones didn't fail to please me as a whole.

The highs, lows and mids are balanced, which makes the neckband a good audio accessory for tuning in to audio tracks that involves instruments like synthesizers, guitars, percussion instrument, and wind instruments. As the audio delivery is quite loud and clear, the individual beats can be heard clearly.

Mivi uses a CVC 6.0 passive noise cancellation which tends to work pretty amazing. Even at 60 or 70% volume the earphones block the outside noises and allow a user to enjoy their media without getting disturbed. Further the call quality on the earphones is also good and I didn't experience any kind of issue while making or receiving a call.

Verdict

Verdict

Mivi Collar neckband is a good blend of performance and features. The loud and clear audio combined with the lightweight design makes it a perfect wireless audio accessory for everyday use. The icing on the cake is the on-the-go call functionality and the fact that you can connect the earphones with more than one device at a time.
