Stable Volume Option On YouTube's App Is Being Tested

After launching the 1080p Enhanced bitrate for YouTube Premium subscribers on the web, YouTube now seems to be rolling out a new feature called "Stable volume" on its app.

Although the "Stable volume" setting's exact purpose and operation are yet unknown, its name suggests that it seeks to moderate and balance the volume levels of various videos.

It's unclear if videos' volume levels are recognised and optimised using AI.

The Stable volume tool may work as a normalizer and compressor, balancing volume levels to lessen abrupt volume changes between and even within specific videos.

The function of this feature has not been made publicly known by the platform, and it appears that not all users currently have access to it.

The Stable volume option is now only available in a few places, which suggests that it is either still in testing or is progressively being made available to YouTube subscribers.
