Consequently, we got to know that Acer is preparing to release a new wearable device at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next month.

Earlier this year, Acer launched the Liquid Jade smartband at the annual Computex tech show in Taiwan, and now the company plans to showcase its sequel at CES 2015.

When asked whether the secondgeneration Liquid Leap smartband would be launched in India, Allen Burnes said "We've plans to launch the Liquid Leap 2 in Q1 2015." Interestingly, the hybrid smartband will be compatible with both iOS and Android devices, though unfortunately there's no word yet from Acer whether the band would work with Windows devices or not.

This is good news for those who're looking forward to buy a smart band primarily for fitness purpose. However, the price of the Liquid Leap 2 is still a mystery.
