HTC Desire SV Released in India: Price, Specifications, Availability and Most Notable Features
While the Indian tech enthusiasts are busy talking about the Apple iPhone 5 release in the country, HTC has quietly released four of its much-talked about smartphones in the market. Yes! The Taiwanese tech giant has launched the highly anticipated Windows Phone 8 based 8X and 8S and the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based One X+ in the nation.
And that’s not all, the smartphone vendor has also come up with a dual SIM Android ICS based mid-range smartphone. The handset was unveiled alongside One X+, 8S and 8X at a press conference in Singapore.
At the launch event, Faisal Siddiqui, Country Head, HTC India was quoted saying, “HTC has always believed in creating smartphones that not only offer the most innovative technologies and design, but also make life a little bit easier. The HTC Desire SV embodies this thinking in a sexy, vibrant, package that offers great value that consumers will love.”

Dimensions & Weight: HTC Desire SV measures 10.7 mm in thickness and 131 grams in weight.
Display: The dual SIM smartphone packs a 4.3 inch Super LCD 2 touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
Processor: Desire SV houses a 1GHz dual core processor that offers high speed performance during activities including web browsing, watching videos, running apps and downloading attachments.
OS: Desire SV is flavored with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS topped with HTC Sense UI. However, the handset can be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS soon.
Storage: The new dual SIM handset comes with 768MB RAM, 4GB on-board storage and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB. Moreover, HTC offers 25GB free Dropbox storage for the handset for two years.
Camera: Desire SV is equipped with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor and lacks a front camera for video calling purposes.
Connectivity: On the connectivity front, HTC Desire SV comes packed with features including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB 2.0.
