Apple rolls out new watch OS 4.2 and tvOS 11.1
Apple users need to have at least 50% of charge on their watch to start the update watchOS 4.2.
Apple had recently released update for its iOS devices. The recent iOS 11.2.5 was specific to the mobile devices however Apple has now also announced the latest update for it series of smartwatches and TVs's. The latest update watchOS is availablr for Apple watched including the Seies1, Series 2 and Series 3 Apple watches. The build number of the watchOS update is 15S542.
Apple users need to have at least 50% of charge on their watch to start the update watchOS 4.2. Apple also suggests that the watch should be kept on charging while updating the smartwatch. It is also suggested that the iPhone should be in a close range of the Apple Watch and it should be connected to Wi-Fi. Once all the above steps are followed users would be required to launch the smart watch App on their iPhone and select the My Watch tab and then General >Software Update. After that user needs to enter the Watch pass code if prompted and follow the prompts from their iPhone. It is advised to restart the Apple watch twice before updating the watch to watchOS 4.2.2.
The watchOS update brings bug fixes along with some improvements. As per some reports the latest watchOS update brings improved navigation design and has made the Workout app faster. An overall improvement in the performance of the Apple Watch is expected by the users. Apart from this there are security fixes as well in the watchOS 4.4.4 including audio, Bluetooth Webkit and kernel.
As we mentioned earlier Apple has also rolled out an update for its TV's and the update is tvOS11.2.5. To update the TV a user needs to go to the Settings and select systems followed by software update. Once the procedure is followed Apple TV will locate the update and the system will resume downloading the tvOS update 11.2.5.
With the Apple devices affected due to Spectre and Meltdown security flaw Apple has also rolled security updates for macOS EI Capitan 10.11.6, macOS Sierra 10.12.6 and macOS High Sierra 10.13.3
