ASUS Just Launched a Mouse That Smells Like Perfume, Alongside New Marshmallow Keyboard
ASUS has officially launched something you don’t see every day: a computer mouse that smells like perfume. In a collaboration with Indian fragrance label Eze Perfumes, ASUS has unveiled the Fragrance Mouse MD101, a wireless mouse that comes with a built-in scent diffuser. Alongside it, ASUS also refreshed its Marshmallow Keyboard KW100 with two new color options, Rose Clay and Iridescent White.
Both products are available in India starting this week, and while the keyboard is a fairly standard productivity upgrade, the mouse is where things get a little unconventional.

A Mouse That Smells Like Vanilla and Amber
At the center of this launch is the Fragrance Mouse MD101, which comes with a refillable vial of perfume stored inside the base of the mouse. The scent, created by Eze Perfumes, has been specially designed for ASUS. It opens with fruity and floral top notes like peach and freesia, moves into a heart of rose and sandalwood, and finishes with warm base notes like musk, vanilla, and amber.
The fragrance is meant to diffuse gently while you work, offering what ASUS calls a “multisensory experience.” Whether this is something people have been asking for is debatable, but the execution is certainly unique. Users can remove the vial, clean it, and refill it with either the included scent or their own choice of essential oil.

The rest of the mouse is more familiar. It’s a compact, ergonomic wireless mouse with Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.4GHz connectivity, an adjustable DPI (up to 2400), and PTFE feet for smoother movement. It runs on a single AA battery and is compatible with Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS. It comes in two colors—Rose Clay and Iridescent White—and is priced at ₹1,999. ASUS is bundling two vials of the custom fragrance with every purchase.
Marshmallow Keyboard KW100 Gets New Colors
In more grounded news, ASUS also introduced new color variants for the Marshmallow Keyboard KW100, a compact wireless keyboard designed for quiet use and portability. It features scissor-switch keys, a slim layout, and a noise-dampening layer to keep keypresses quieter than 50 dB. There’s also a two-level kickstand for adjusting typing angle.
The keyboard supports Bluetooth 5.0 pairing with up to three devices, which is helpful for switching between a laptop, tablet, and phone. It’s powered by two AAA batteries and claims up to a year of battery life with moderate daily use.
The KW100 is compatible with all major operating systems and now comes in four colors, including the two new ones announced today. It’s priced at ₹2,499 and is available online through ASUS’s own store as well as major retailers like Amazon and Flipkart.
