Beats 360 Headphones Launched in India with Swappable Cushion, Noise Cancellation and Spatial Audio
Beats has entered a new category of personalisation with the Beats 360, its first customisable over-ear headphones. The Apple-owned brand is pitching the new model at users who want one pair of headphones for workouts, travel, office calls and daily listening, without being locked into a single cushion material.
In India, the Beats 360 is priced at Rs 42,900 and is available to order from September 23, 2026. Retail availability begins on September 24. The headphones come in four colour options: Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky. Additional cushion kits will be sold separately for Rs 6,900.

Beats 360 Focuses on Swappable Cushions
The biggest change is the interchangeable cushion system. Beats is shipping the headphones with Performance Knit cushions, aimed at training and high-movement use. Users can also buy UltraPlush engineered leather cushions for regular listening. Each kit includes two ear cushions and one headband cushion, allowing users to change both comfort and appearance.
Beats says the headphones can recognise which cushion type is attached and adjust audio tuning accordingly. The Performance Knit kits will be available in Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy and Volt. UltraPlush kits will be offered in Black and Cloud. The detachable design should also make cleaning easier, especially for users who wear over-ear headphones at the gym.
The Beats 360 is also the brand’s first IP-certified headphone, with an IPX4 rating for resistance against sweat and water splashes. That does not make it waterproof, but it does give the model a practical advantage over many lifestyle-focused over-ear headphones that are not designed for workouts.
Noise Cancellation, Spatial Audio and Battery Life
On the audio side, Beats is offering Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, Adaptive EQ and personalised spatial audio with dynamic head tracking. Dolby Atmos is also supported. The company claims the new ANC system delivers up to 1.75 times more total noise cancellation than the Beats Studio Pro.
Battery life is rated at up to 32 hours of playback. A five-minute USB-C charge is claimed to provide up to one hour of listening. The headphones use Bluetooth 5.3 and a custom Beats chip, which enables deeper integration across Apple devices while keeping core features available for Android users.
For Apple users, the Beats 360 supports one-touch pairing, iCloud pairing, automatic device switching, Audio Sharing, Find My and hands-free Siri. Android users get Fast Pair, audio switching on supported devices, Find Hub and voice assistant access through the play/pause button.
The headphones ship with a woven soft-sided case and include a replaceable battery. Beats has not yet shared details on how battery replacement will work in India or how much it will cost. For now, the Beats 360 stands out mainly for its modular cushion system, gym-friendly rating and cross-platform feature set.
