FiiO, the Chinese portable audio media player manufacturing company has unveiled its latest audio products for the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 10,990 on company's official website, FiiO F9 PRO is a triple driver Hybrid In Ear Monitors with mic. The F9 Pro in-earphones uses a 30017 Knowles triple driver which was missing in the previous F9 IEM model.The audio product is available for sale at offline stores as well as online atwww.fiio.co.in.
The upgraded version of F9 Pro features a dynamic driver along with 2 balancedArmatures. The previous generation BA drivers are changed to Knowles TWFK-30017-000.The F9 Pro is available in Titanium color with "Pro" mark on the Y-splitter and the earbuds utilizes detachable MMCX connector with Red nd Blue metal ring on the R/L side of the device.
FiiO has also changed the headphone plugs to L shape this time to meet the users' demands, additional accessories include 3 pairs of foam eartips, 3 pairs of silicon eartips and a water-resistant neoprene carrying pouch.
Let's quickly have a look at the specs and features offered by the F9 PRO IEM device
a) Dynamic driver & 2 balanced armatures for rich sound: The F9 PRO uses a hybrid design in which each channel is composed of one dynamic and two balanced armature (BA) drivers. The 9.2mm dynamic driver is tuned to produce good lows while the two BA drivers is for upper-mids and highs.
b) Knowles dual balanced armature TWFK-30017-000: The Knowles dual balanced armature TWFK-30017-000 gives the F9 Pro immense capabilities in resolving every last detail, all in a truly powerful and overwhelming presentation of your music - the way it was meant to be heard added the company.
c) PEK polymer nanocomposite driver: The F9 PRO uses a dynamic driver made of PEK (polyether ketone) polymer nanocomposite, which is known for its light weight along with tough body. This allows the F9 PRO's dynamic driver capable of producing detailed andextended bass.
d) Tuning based on Physics and Psycho-acoustics: The performance of F9 PRO's drivers is designed by looking to the laws and principles of physics and psycho-acoustics when designing the product. By doing so, the drivers are able to work in perfect harmony to achieve a cohesive sound that is absolutely able to reproduce every part of the sound frequency spectrum - allowing for a frequency response from 15 Hz to 40 kHz the company said.
e) Hi-Res Audio Certification: The F9 PRO has been certified by the Japan Audio Society to be "Hi-Res Audio" capable. This means that the F9 PRO is capable of a frequency response up to 40 kHz.
d) Free toggle between balanced and single-ended with standard MMCX connectors: The F9 PRO utilizes the standard MMCX connector for its interchangeable cables, and comes standard with both 2.5mm balanced and 3.5mm single-ended cables.
e)The 2.5mm balanced cable is made of silver-plated copper wire, which ensures a balanced sound signature.
f)The 3.5mm single-ended cable comes with a full set of in-line controls which helps in playing/pausing songs, switching tracks, volume adjustment, and even making/receiving calls via microphone.
g)Organic design along with Organic strength: The ripple-like lines on the F9 PRO gives it a unique touch and also serve to ensure structural strength and maximize the amount of space internally for a more optimized design overall. The inside layer of the F9 PRO's shell is lined with plastic for better security of the drivers and eliminate internal resonances.
h)Colors and Textures: The end of the MMCX cable's left channel is furnished with a splash of blue, while the end of the right channel is of red color. This is for easy identification of the audio channels. These channel ends also have a spiral texture engraved into them,
i)Over-the-ear design for an enjoyable experience: The over-the-ear ergonomic is comfortable for a long period usage.
Little touches such as the right-angled headphone plug, to the laser-etched PRO logo on the earphones, along with the MMCX infused with red and blue at the channel ends ensure that F9 PRO gives a decent first impression.
