Huawei Band 4 Pro With Dedicated GPS Chip Launched: Price And Specifications

Huawei recently announced its Watch 2 in India. Now, the company has introduced a new fitness band -- the Huawei Band 4 Pro with functional improvements and additional features. As of now, the availability of the smart band is limited to China.

Huawei Band 4 Pro Features And Specifications

The Huawei Band 4 Pro comes with a 0.65-inch color AMOLED display with 240 x 120 pixels resolution, protected by a 2.5D curved tempered glass. Just like the Mi Band 4, the Huawei's offering also comes with a plethora of pre-loaded watch faces.

The band is fitted with a heart-rate sensor and a SpO2 monitor that measures the blood-oxygen-level in real-time. It comes with Huawei TrySleep 2.0 that accurately records sleeping patterns for a complete sleep analysis. The band can track up to 11 different types of exercise and accurately measure the burnt calories.

The band has a built-in GPS that can track location in real-time without a companion phone. It uses an algorithm called SWOLF that calculates the swimming efficiency index depending on the swimming position and stroke number. The built-in NFC chip can be used to make contactless payments, at least in China.

The band can work with both Android and iOS devices. However, some of the features are only available when the Huawei Band 4 Pro is used with an Android smartphone. The built-in 100mAh battery claims to last up to five days on a single charge and it takes around 100 minutes to completely refuel. However, turning on the GPS will reduce battery life to seven hours.

Price And Availability

The Huawei Band 4 Pro is available in pink, red, and black colors for 399 Yuan (Approx Rs. 4,000) which makes it slightly expensive than the Mi Band 4. But Xiaomi's offering misses out on features like GPS.
