JBL Tune Buds, Tune Beam TWS Earbuds Launched in India

JBL has launched two new products expanding its portfolio of truly wireless earbuds in India on World Music Day. The two new TWS earbuds are called JBL Tune Buds and Tune Beam, and are part of the JBL Tune series. The company has been teasing the launch of the two new earbuds from earlier this month, and has finally released them into the wild.

Both earbuds have a lot of features in common barring a few things, promising high-end audio with deep bass at an affordable price. Let's take a look at the specifications and features of the JBL Tune Buds and Tune Beam.

JBL Tune Buds, Tune Beam: Features and Specifications

The JBL Tune Buds and Tune Beam TWS earbuds share a lot of features, save for the design.
The JBL Tune Buds TWS look like a bud, and come in a charging case, but do not have a stem. On the other hand, the JBL Tune Beam has a closed-stick design and has a stem.

The Tune Buds feature 10mm audio drivers, while the Tune Beam comes with 6mm audio drivers. Both are capable of belting out JBL Pure Bass Sound, the company's signature audio tuning. The buds connect with Bluetooth 5.3 with LE support that saves battery.

Both earbuds feature active noise cancellation (ANC) with Smart Ambient feature, which keeps the listener aware of the surroundings even when there's audio playing. There's also a feature called TalkThru that allows for a conversation without having to remove the earbuds.

The TUNE Buds and Tune Beam come with a four mic array to help with calls and noise cancellation. The mics have a Voice Aware feature that uses machine learning to control the loudness of the voice. The feature essentially allows users to control the mic input so that the voice does not blare in the ears.

The earbuds are also IP54 rated for dust and water resistance.

The JBL Tune Buds and Tune Beam are compatible with the JBL Headphones companion app for customizing various features of the earbuds. The app allows to remap the touch control gestures, set audio profiles, and control environmental noise.

The app can also locate the earbuds if they are lost, and support voice assistants across the board.

JBL claims a 12 hour battery life on the earbuds alone, and the charging case can provide an additional 36 hours of battery life. However, the battery life comes down to 10 hours and 30 hours respectively with active noise cancellation turned on.

That said, the JBL Tune Buds support Speed Charge, which gives a 4 hour battery life with just 15 minutes of charge.

JBL Tune Buds, Tune Beam: Price and Availability

The JBL Tune Buds and Tune Beam are available at special launch prices of Rs 5499 and Rs 6499 respectively. Both are available in black, blue, and white colours. They are now available on sale on Amazon India and JBL's official website.
