Logitech POWERPLAY 2 Launched in India With Slimmer Design and Wider Charging Area
Logitech G has just rolled out POWERPLAY 2 in India, a new version of its wireless charging mouse pad designed for gamers who never want to worry about battery life. While it might not look drastically different from the original, the second-gen pad introduces subtle but important upgrades.
If you’ve used the original POWERPLAY, this will feel familiar. You still get a mouse pad that charges your compatible Logitech G mouse as you use it, without needing to dock it or plug in charging cables. But with POWERPLAY 2, Logitech has made the whole setup a little more comfortable, more flexible, and slightly more affordable.

What’s Different This Time?
The headline changes are practical. The pad is now just 3.5mm thick, which makes for a more seamless experience on the desk—especially during long sessions. The charging area is also 15% larger, giving you more room to move around while still staying within the charging zone.
The system still relies on a low-frequency electromagnetic field, which transfers power to a small circular insert—Logitech calls it the Charging Coin—that you place inside a compatible mouse. The idea is simple: as long as your mouse is on the pad, it’s charging. Whether you’re using it or not.
More Mice, Same Simplicity
One of the more useful changes is the expanded compatibility list. POWERPLAY 2 now supports 10 Logitech G wireless mice, including newer models like the PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX, G502 X PLUS, and the more affordable G309. That means more users can benefit from continuous charging, whether they prefer ultralight FPS mice or ergonomic all-rounders.

And if you’re switching between mice, it’s as simple as removing the Charging Coin from one and inserting it into another. There’s no software pairing or extra steps involved.
A Setup That Stays Out of the Way
The appeal of POWERPLAY has always been that once you set it up, you forget it’s even there. That hasn’t changed. You plug the pad into your computer, insert the Charging Coin into your mouse, and that’s it. No battery level monitoring, no downtime, and no cable drag while playing.
Price and Availability
POWERPLAY 2 is priced at ₹13,995 and is now available on Amazon India and through various gaming retailers. It’s not cheap, especially when compared to regular mouse pads, but it’s designed for users who spend serious time at their PC and want to cut charging interruptions out of the equation entirely.
