Noise REP Band Launched: India Gets Its Own Whoop and Fitbit Air Rival - Check Price, Features

Noise is stepping into a category it hasn't touched before, screenless health bands, with the launch of the REP Band. The pitch is straightforward: deep health tracking without locking any of it behind a monthly subscription, something that's become increasingly common in this space.

Noise Launches REP Band to Rival Whoop and Fitbit Air

What Makes It Different

Instead of a display and notifications, the REP Band is built purely around continuous health tracking, worn 24/7 without the usual screen-based interactions. Noise says the entire NoiseFit app experience, sleep analysis, recovery scores, effort metrics, stress tracking, comes free from day one, with no paywall gating any of it.

Built for All-Day Wear

The band uses a sandblasted, dual-finish stainless steel body and weighs just 27 grams, light enough that Noise is positioning it as unobtrusive during workouts and while sleeping. The strap is a hypoallergenic dual-tone twill weave designed to dry quickly, paired with a one-handed clasp for quick on-and-off. Battery life is rated at 10 days, and the band carries a 5 ATM water resistance rating.

Sensors Calibrated for Indian Skin Tones

Noise says it specifically calibrated the REP Band's optical sensors using real-world Indian data, targeting stable accuracy across Fitzpatrick skin types II through VI, a range meant to account for the varied skin tones and hair density that Noise claims often trip up wearables built primarily around narrower global datasets. The heart rate sensor uses a circular multi-PD, multi-LED setup with four photodiodes and four green LEDs, along with red and infrared wavelengths.

On accuracy, Noise cites results from a Bland-Altman analysis run against a Polar chest strap during outdoor running trials, reporting a mean difference of just -0.06 BPM, with 95.8 percent of readings falling within agreement limits of +3.75 to -3.87 BPM. These are Noise's own reported testing figures rather than independent third-party results.

Automatic Workout and Motion Tracking

A 6-axis motion engine, combining a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope, handles automatic exercise detection for running, walking, cycling, elliptical training, and rowing, both indoors and outdoors. Noise says the system is built to filter out kinetic noise so data stays clean even during intense movement or sleep position changes, without needing manual logging.

Health Metrics on Offer

Beyond the basics, the REP Band tracks heart rate continuously, HRV, recovery score, sleep analysis, stress levels, effort metrics, VO2, stamina, respiratory rate, and SpO2. A built-in AI coaching layer also cross-references sleep quality against physiological stress data to generate daily health "Highlights" meant to translate raw numbers into something more actionable.

Price and Availability

The Noise REP Band comes in four colourways, Vivid Orange, Navy Blue, Classic Black, and Sand Beige. Pre-bookings open July 8 across gonoise.com, Amazon, and Flipkart, with an introductory price of Rs 9,999 for those who pre-book. Noise hasn't specified what the price will be once the introductory window ends.
