Nothing Ear Open TWS Earbuds with ChatGPT Integration, 30 Hours of Playback Launched in India: Price, Features

The Nothing Ear Open, a new wireless headset from UK-based startup Nothing, was recently introduced in India. Led by Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, the company has designed this headset with its signature transparent look. The device boasts a 14.2mm dynamic driver and is resistant to dust and splashes with an IP54 rating.

The Nothing Ear Open are priced at Rs. 17,999 in India and will be available in sole white colour option. Although the exact availability date hasn't been announced, it is already listed on Nothing's India website. The design includes partially transparent elements on the stem and a curved band that fits around the ear.

Equipped with a 14.2mm dynamic driver, the Nothing Ear Open supports AI-powered Clear Voice technology for enhanced call quality. It promises up to 30 hours of playback time on a single charge. The earbuds can also connect to two devices simultaneously via Bluetooth 5.3, supporting AAC and SBC codecs.

The device integrates with OpenAI's ChatGPT chatbot when paired with a Nothing phone. Users can customise pinch controls and EQ settings through the Nothing X app on their smartphones. Swift Pair and Google Fast Pair are supported for easy connectivity.

Nothing Ear Open Battery Life and Charging

Each earbud contains a 64mAh battery, while the charging case houses a 635mAh battery that charges via USB Type-C. Without the case, users can enjoy up to six hours of voice calls or eight hours of music playback. A quick ten-minute charge provides two hours of listening time. The earbuds weigh 8.1 grams each, with the case weighing 63.8 grams. Despite lacking active noise cancellation (ANC), they maintain less than 120ms latency during use.

The open-style design ensures comfort by hooking around the back of the ear, making them suitable for extended wear. However, potential buyers should note that active noise cancellation is not included in this model. With its unique features and design elements, the Nothing Ear Open aims to offer an innovative audio experience for users seeking style and functionality in their wireless headsets.
