OnePlus to market the OnePlus X via Apple iPhone 6S Sandstone Cases?

Chinese startup OnePlus has already shown that they are capable of churning out rather odd marketing strategies and one of those is the infamous Invite Only system. But it seems that they have a new one on board which in the hindsight appears to be rather odd!

Apparently OnePlus has launched a Sandstone Black back cover for a new smartphone! And guess what it is none other than the Apple iPhone 6S. While many may already be wondering if OnePlus is crazy - launching a cover for a phone which is always on their prime hit list?!

However OnePlus seems to have some other plans. As a matter of fact the Chinese startup is providing OnePlus X invites with random iPhone 6S Sandstone cases. But will someone dump a costly beast like iPhone 6S in favour of the pocket friendly OnePlus X? Furthermore OnePlus is bundling in free OnePlus X smartphone with a select few iPhone 6S Sandstone Black back covers.

This is also allowing the OnePlus an opportunity to draw attention of iPhone users towards the fact that the Sandstone back of the OnePlus is much less slippery as compared to the Apple iPhone 6S. Clever marketing none the less!
