Realme Truly Wireless Earphones To Be Called Buds Air; What To Expect
Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth, at the launch of the Realme X2 Pro, teased the brand's first truly wireless earphones. A few days ago, the company confirmed the arrival of these earphones along with the Realme XT 730G on December 17 in three colors. Now, the brand has officially confirmed that its upcoming wireless earphones will be called the Realme Buds Air.
Besides the color variants, we have no official information on the Realme Buds Air. As of now, it is confirmed that these earphones will be available in yellow, black, and white color variants. What's more fascinating is the fact that they look almost identical to the Apple AirPods, except for the silver ring at the bottom portion.
What To Expect From Realme Buds Air
Teasers have hinted that the Buds Air will come with a charging cradle, which also mimics Apple's offering. Unlike the AirPods, the Buds Air are expected to have a micro USB or a USB Type-C port with support for fast charging. As none of the Realme smartphones support wireless charging, chances of the Buds Air supporting the same are very slim.
As per the connectivity, the Realme Buds Air are likely to support Bluetooth 5.0 with support for high-definition audio playback over a maximum distance of 15 meters. Both buds are expected to carry a tiny battery that might offer three to four hours of battery life and the case is expected to have a bigger battery that will be capable of recharging the earphones a couple of times.
Pricing And Availability
Though the Realme Buds Air looks a lot like the Apple AirPods, they are likely to cost less. In fact, the Apple AirPods costs anywhere between Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 18,000 in India and the Realme Buds Air are most likely to be priced well under Rs. 10,000. These earphones are expected to be made available along with the Realme XT 730G via various channels like Amazon, Flipkart, and Realme online and offline stores.
