Samsung has announced the release date of two of its latest products from the Gear series of wearables. The Gear Sport and Gear IconX 2018 will be released in the US on October 27, 2017, and the pre-order for the two commences on October 13.
The South Korean technology giant also announced the price for both the upcoming devices. The Gear Sport has been priced at $299.99 (approximately Rs. 19,300) in the US whereas the Gear IconX will at $199.99 (approximately Rs. 13,000).
Gear Sport is the latest addition to the smartwatch series from Samsung. The wearable device is Tizen based and is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. It offers a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, GPS, inbuilt music player and NFC. The smartwatch is water resistant up to a depth of 50 meters. It will be available in two color variants including black and blue. The device will be available for sale in the US on Samsung's online store, Best Buy, and Amazon along with several major retail store chains.
The Samsung Gear IconX is a pair of wearable smart earbuds that also support offline music playing with a built-in memory of 4GB. This also makes them a standalone music player. The Gear IconX offers built-in Running Coach which is a great feature for physical training. It also offers touch controls for changing tracks, controlling volumes and other basic functions. The Gear IconX will be available for sale on all the platforms where consumers can get the Gear Sport from. The earbuds will be available in three colors including black, gray and pink.
