Sennheiser HD 480 PRO Launched In India With Closed-Back Design, 38mm Drivers: Check Price
Sennheiser has introduced the HD 480 PRO in India as part of its professional audio lineup. The headphones are positioned for use in studio environments, live setups, and monitoring scenarios where isolation and accuracy are important.

The HD 480 PRO is priced at ₹43,999, while the HD 480 PRO Plus variant, which includes a travel case instead of a standard bag, is listed at ₹47,999.
Focus On Closed-Back Accuracy
Closed-back headphones are typically used for isolation, but they don’t always deliver consistent low-end performance. With the HD 480 PRO, Sennheiser is focusing on improving bass accuracy while maintaining a controlled sound profile.
The headphones use multiple layers of passive noise isolation to limit external interference. There’s also a design system aimed at reducing vibration and distortion during playback.

Designed For Longer Use
The HD 480 PRO has been built with extended sessions in mind. It uses a lightweight design and aims to distribute pressure evenly across the head.
For users who wear glasses, the ear pads include a softer section around the temples to reduce pressure without affecting the seal. The overall fit is designed to adapt to different head shapes.
Practical Additions
Sennheiser has included a detachable cable that can be connected on either side, depending on the setup. There’s also a coiled section near the connector to reduce noise caused by cable movement.
Other details include braille markings on the earcups and support for replaceable accessories such as ear pads and cables.
Where It Sits In The Lineup
The HD 480 PRO is part of Sennheiser’s 400 series and sits alongside the open-back HD 490 PRO. While the open-back model is better suited for quieter environments, the closed-back 480 PRO is designed for situations where isolation is required, such as recording or live monitoring.
