Sonos Ace Headphones Launched in India with ANC, Spatial Audio, Dolby Atmos: Price, Features, Availability
Sonos has introduced its inaugural headphones, the Sonos Ace, in India. Priced at Rs 39,999, these over-the-ear Bluetooth headphones are designed to deliver high-quality audio performance. They feature lossless and spatial audio capabilities, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and Aware Mode. The headphones will be available for purchase starting September 11.
The Sonos Ace aims to transform personal listening into a private cinema experience. Equipped with spatial audio support, including Dolby Atmos, they offer a surround sound effect enhanced by dynamic head tracking. This ensures that the sound remains centred and consistent even as you move around.

Sonos Ace Specifications and Features
These headphones mark Sonos' entry into the personal listening space. According to the company, the Ace is designed to deliver high-quality sound and comfort. They feature two custom-designed drivers that provide clear and accurate audio across all frequencies, whether you're listening to music, podcasts, or on a call.
The Sonos Ace also boasts the ability to switch audio from a compatible Sonos soundbar to the headphones with just a button press. This feature is convenient for users who want a quiet, personal listening experience without disturbing others in the household.
Battery life is another strong point for the Sonos Ace. The company promises up to 30 hours of listening or talk time on a full charge. Additionally, the headphones feature ultra-fast charging; a quick 3-minute charge using the included USB-C cable provides up to 3 hours of playback.
Design and Sustainability
The design of the Sonos Ace features a slim profile with metal accents and a matte finish. The headband and ear cups are made from pillowy soft memory foam wrapped in vegan leather, offering a snug yet comfortable fit without catching on hair. Intuitive controls and colour-coded ear cups guide users on how to wear them correctly.

Sustainability is also a key focus for Sonos with these headphones. The Ace is designed with replaceable ear cushions and uses 17 percent less virgin plastic for enhanced durability and environmental responsibility. Wear detection technology automatically pauses audio when the headphones are removed, conserving battery life.
Enhanced Audio Experience
The new TrueCinema technology will be introduced later this year by Sonos. This feature will allow users to map their space and create an immersive surround sound system, further enhancing the home theatre experience.
Talking about their first headphones, Patrick Spence, CEO of Sonos said: "Sonos Ace leverages everything we've learned over two decades as an audio leader to bring stunning sound, sleek design and long-standing comfort to one of the largest and most popular audio categories worldwide."
The Sonos Ace comes in two colour options – Black and Soft White – providing choices for different style preferences. These headphones are set to make a significant impact in India's personal listening market with their advanced features and thoughtful design.
