Sony WF-1000XM5 Premium TWS Earbuds Launched in India: Check Price, Specs, Features

Sony introduced a new version of its premium true wireless earbuds in India, the Sony WF 1000XM5. The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds were unveiled globally earlier this year in July.

Sony's latest premium earbuds incorporate features such as the 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X, Sony Processor V2, and Sony's QN2e Active Noise Cancellation chip. The earbuds are presented in a compact design with two popular colour options.

Sony WF-1000XM5 Pricing, Availability in India

The Sony WF-1000XM5 price in India are set at Rs. 24,990. The earbuds are already up for pre-order in India and will go on sale from October 18. Customers who pre-book the latest Sony earbuds till October 15 can avail these earbuds at a discounted price of Rs. 21,990.

The Sony WF-1000XM5 TWS earbuds are available in Black and Silver colors. They will be available for sale through the official Sony Center website, major electronic stores, and leading e-commerce portals like Amazon and Flipkart.

Sony WF-1000XM5 Features, Specifications

The Sony WF-1000XM5 are equipped with an 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X. The earphones also feature Sony's Integrated Processor V2 and QN2e chips, an enhancement expected to improve the Noise Cancellation feature. The earbuds support SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3 audio formats.

With DSEE Extreme upscaling technology and an Ambient Sound Mode, Sony claims to have improved call quality irrespective of high levels of background noise. The earbuds come with an IPX4 rating, Bluetooth 5.3 support, Google Fast Pair, multipoint connection, head tracking function, and 360 Reality Audio.

With ANC activated, Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds can offer a maximum call time of up to six hours and music playback time of up to eight hours. With the noise cancellation feature turned off, the earphones provide a call time of up to seven hours and music playback time of up to 12 hours.

Moreover, an additional feature is the case that can provide up to 24 hours of battery life and supports wireless and fast charging. Sony's latest premium TWS earbuds can be paired with Sony's Headphones Connect app. Each earbud weighs 5.9 grams and the case along with the buds weigh 39 grams, having a compact size roughly 64.6mm x 40.0mm x 26.5mm.
