Strontium introduces new generation NITRO Plus (OTG) Type-C USB 3.1 in India
Strontium NITRO Plus (OTG) Type-C USB 3.1 enables customers to quickly store and transfer data between new generation USB Type-C compatible devices (smartphones, tablets, and PC).
Strontium Technology, providers of flash memory products, has recently launched NITRO Plus On-The-Go (OTG) Type-C USB 3.1 Gen1 flash drive which further enables customers to quickly store and transfer data between new generation USB Type-C compatible devices (smartphones, tablets, and PC).
The new offering comes in the capacities of 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB and the company claims that the product delivers high performance of up to 150MB/s Read Speed and 100MB/s Write Speed. The device is equipped with both USB Type-C (USB-C) and traditional USB-A connector, with backward compatibility to users' USB 3.0 and 2.0 connection equipped devices.
Talking more about the new product, it features a stylish design and is made up of full zinc alloy body.
However, apart from the launch, the company is also offering a five-year warranty with the new flash drive and it will be available in India across all the retail partners including the leading e-commerce giant like Amazon and leading large format retailer (LFR) like Croma.
The retail selling price is said to be INR 1,599, INR 2,799 and INR 4,999 for the 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB variants respectively. The new product will be distributed in the Indian market through the company's existing distributors which include Hundia Infosolutions Private Ltd and Supertron Electronics Private Limited.
"USB-C is the future and will feature on almost every phone," said Mr. Vivian Singh, President and CEO, Strontium Technology Pte Ltd. "Almost all the latest smartphones like Samsung S8, Samsung S8 plus, OnePlus 5, Xiaomi Mi 6, Google Pixel and Pixel XL, LG G6, Samsung Galaxy A7, A5 and A3 have Type-C port and are taking over the conventional port. Strontium Nitro plus OTG Type-C gives consumers utility option to free up space on Type-C enabled smartphones, tablets, and computers."
"Our product helps to quickly transfer files between USB Type-C enabled mobile devices, laptops, tablets and future devices. We always anticipated the future of Type-C," the company said in a statement. "We were the front runners to launch the Type-C reader bundling with our Nitro MicroSD way back in the year 2015. It expands data storage of mobile devices without a microSD card slot. The new Strontium Nitro Plus OTG Type-C USB 3.1 flash drive can be your simplest way of data sharing with just a simple plug in and go."
