The Upcoming Apple Pencil 3 Could Gain Haptic Feedback, New Gestures, and “Find My” Feature
Apple's popular stylus, the Apple Pencil, is expected to receive a major upgrade at their upcoming "Let Loose" event on May 7th. According to reliable Apple insider Mark Gurman, the highlight of the Apple Pencil 3 could be the introduction of haptic feedback.
What is haptic feedback? Imagine your Apple Pencil gently vibrating when you draw over a button on your iPad screen. That's haptic feedback in action. This subtle vibration provides a more realistic and interactive experience, similar to the feeling of a pen gliding across paper.

More than just a buzz The rumors don't stop at haptic feedback. The Apple Pencil 3 might also allow users to swap out different tips for specific drawing or writing tasks. Additionally, a new "squeeze gesture" could be introduced, offering a convenient way to access shortcuts or menus within apps. The icing on the cake? The Apple Pencil 3 might even come with "Find My" functionality, making misplaced styluses a thing of the past.
A sign of things to come At Apple's upcoming event, the Cupertino giant is preparing to broaden its iPad Air lineup by introducing a new 12.9-inch model, departing from its previous single-size standard. This decision follows the trend seen in the iPad Pro series, offering users more choices in display sizes.
Unlike the iPad Pro, which is rumored to receive an upgraded Magic Keyboard with an aluminum build, the latest design of the iPad Air will maintain compatibility with the existing Magic Keyboard.
Anticipated to feature a mini-LED display, the upcoming 12.9-inch iPad Air model promises significant improvements in contrast, brightness, and energy efficiency compared to conventional LCD screens. This advancement aims to deliver a more vibrant and power-efficient viewing experience.
