Transcend Releases 8GB & 16GB Industrial-Grade Memory Cards
Transcend Information, Inc., a leading manufacturer of industrial-grade products, announced the release of 8GB and 16GB SDHC100I industrial-grade wide temperature solutions. With the exceptional transfer speed reaching up to 20MB/s, Transcend SDHC100I memory cards embedded with SLC NAND flash chips fulfill industrial-grade applications with larger storage capacity and outstanding performance. Suited for devices that require extensive read/write under harsh environmental conditions, the cards not only operate effectively from -40°C to 85°C but also are built in with ECC and S.M.A.R.T. functions to ensure reliable data transfer and self-monitoring capability.

High Transfer Speed with SLC NAND Flash Embedded
Compliant with SD Specification Version 3.0 and with the top-of-the-line Class 10 speed rating, Transcend SDHC100I memory cards provide transfer rates of up to 20MB per second. In order to meet the industrial demands of intensive programming under harsh environmental conditions, the cards are not only shock resistance but also offering a wide flexibility of operating temperature between -40°C and 85°C to greatly increase the durability. Manufactured using high-quality SLC flash chips, Transcend SDHC100I memory cards guarantee higher stability in data retention and longer endurance than MLC flash chips to meet the demanding standards of industrial-grade applications, such as embedded automation computers, engineering machines, fanless PCs, and medical and in-vehicle computing systems.

Built-in ECC Function with S.M.A.R.T. Health Monitoring
Transcend SDHC100I memory cards feature multiple built-in technologies for optimum protection, including Error Correction Code (ECC) that helps detect and correct potential transfer errors, S.M.A.R.T. function to efficiently monitor the health conditions of the cards, power failure protection to timely protect cards from damage in the event of abrupt power failure, and wear-leveling algorithm to select the block with the lowest erase count for the next write.
Transcend SDHC100I industrial-grade wide temp memory cards are available in three capacities from 4GB to 16GB, whereas Transcend SD100I cards provide small capacities from 128MB to 2GB for selection. Both cards are backed by Transcend's Two-year Limited Warranty.
